What is Duet:

Duet is an online micro-philanthropy platform that allows donors to provide meaningful aid to vulnerable populations through personalized item donations that meet their needs rapidly and sustainably. We currently provide personalized aid to resettled refugees in Greece, through partnerships with local stores.

Who is Duet:

We are a group of 7 USC students and recent graduates who are building Duet out of the Innovation in Engineering Design for Global Challenges class. We have been operating since March 2019: since then, we have facilitated over $12,000 in donations and built a network of 150+ unique donors.

Duet has been featured in Viterbi News and Marshall News.

The Role:

Duet is looking for a spirited, self-motivated, and collaborative social media lead to help us create and maintain Duet’s online presence. You will play a central role in an agile nonprofit organization that is ****serious about using technology for social good.

You will:

• Produce and schedule content that explains, highlights, and improves the Duet experience for donors, refugees, and store owners alike
• Collaborate with the head of business development with all marketing and promotions
• Stay up to date with all new social media tools and strategies
• Contribute to short-term and long-term product/strategy discussions, e.g. how to scale Duet to provide aid to hundreds of refugee families
• Seek out and engage key influencers to partner with and push relevant content
• Report directly to and work with the founders to ensure brand consistency

Qualifications:

This position might be a great fit if:

• You have prior experience of managing social media sites and tools, and are an active participant in social networking -- although not required
• A detail orientated self starter who can work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
